Challenge
Situated on a compact lot close to downtown Toronto, the challenge was to maximize square footage and livability within limited space. The design needed to achieve openness and functionality while adhering to strict zoning and setback constraints. Every level of the home had to be efficiently planned to balance natural light, circulation, and privacy—without sacrificing the sense of comfort or luxury.
Result
The Lesmount Residence achieves an elegant balance between modern minimalism and warmth. Its limestone front and tall black-framed windows create a bold urban presence, while interiors embrace light tones and layered textures for a soft, inviting atmosphere. The open-concept kitchen, featuring wood cabinetry and marble finishes, connects seamlessly with the living and dining spaces, creating a flow ideal for family gatherings. Upstairs, spa-inspired bathrooms and cozy bedrooms complete the feeling of modern city comfort. With thoughtful design and careful material selection, Lesmount demonstrates how smart architecture can bring openness and style to even the most compact urban lots.
